Registered Counsellor

Justin is a Counsellor who’s been in the mental health industry for more than 15 years. Presently the Director of Clinical Training at Monash University Malaysia, he coordinates the Counselling Practicum and Counselling Internship while supervising counselling students for their clinical practice.

He has played many different roles such as a Private Counselor, Lecturer, Counseling Supervisor, Corporate Trainer, Talent Assessor, and Head of Product Development in a social enterprise. Featured previously in MyStarjobs and Readers Digest, he is a regular speaker on topics such as stress management, human personality, communication, and career decision making. With a passion to help the masses, he now focuses on training the next generation of counsellors to ensure more people get mental health support.

In counselling, he has three main passions: individuals in crisis, people seeking clarity, and couples in distress. By seeing him, you can expect greater clarity and self awareness prior to deciding what to do, as well as support as you carry out your plans. He uses Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients engage in a value-driven life. You can also engage him for existential or career conversations.

When he's not working, he's busy being a dad to three kids and a husband to one wife. He enjoys his daily cup of latte, listening and jamming to smooth jazz, and reading about the advances in tech and Artificial Intelligence.
